Pastoral Office for Education and Youth Catechesis (POEYC)

Welcome to the Pastoral Office for Education and Youth Catechesis page of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. This office provides support to Catholic schools and parishes in Northcentral Indiana. The diocese crosses the state from east to west in a one hundred mile band from Newton county in the northwest to Randolph county in the southeast. Catholic education in the state of Indiana predates the establishment of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana by over one hundred sixty years. It is this tradition of excellence in Catholic education that enhances our commitment to serving the nearly 35,000 households and 63 parishes that comprise the diocese.
