A 10 Year Strategic Plan (2005-2015)
for the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana Planned Giving and
the Catholic Foundation of Northcentral Indiana, Inc. Summary

A 10 Year Strategic Plan has been implemented for the Catholic Foundation of Northcentral Indiana, Inc. The plan calls for three action plans to be implemented in conjunction with each other. (1) Marketing and communications programs are critical to linking donors with the Catholic Foundation of Northcentral Indiana, Inc. in the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. A common message of Catholic stewardship reasoning and ways to give are to be put into place.  (2) Internal programs have been identified while at the same time externally, relationship building programs with donors is seen as critical. (3) Endowment focus and endowment creation has been identified, to assist in linking donors, with the essential mission of the Foundation and operation of the Diocese. With these common needs identified, the three action plans have been created to answer and link asset development for the Christian mission of the Foundation and Local Church.

The Catholic Foundation of Northcentral Indiana, Inc. will be proactive in the education of donors and potential donors in making them aware of the priorities of the Foundation. From past documentation, meetings thoughout the Diocese, input forms, and personal recommendations, the Catholic Foundation of Northcentral Indiana, Inc. will focus on the following areas of endowment creation:

• General Needs of the Diocese

• Catholic Laity Education & Assistance

     A) Religious Education

     B) Outreach Programs

     C) Hispanic Ministry

• Vocations to Priesthood, Diaconate, and Religious Life

• Culture of Life and Social Justice Concerns

• Catholic Parishes

• Catholic Schools

By constructing Catholic planned giving and the Foundation to be closely linked to the mission of the Catholic community, these programs will hopefully, over time, create public opinion of it as an agent for the transformation and nurturing of a much greater spectrum of Catholics and the public. The Catholic Foundation of Northcentral Indiana, Inc. by being Catholic mission focused gives Catholics an alternative to local secular foundations. Now it has the opportunity to create programming, returns, and accountability that will make it attractive alongside other foundations within the Northcentral Indiana community.
